Focus on domestic steel trade (interview with Moonsung Cho, the Korea representative) iSteelAsia's Korean subsidiary is a steel mill-oriented vortal and is currently concentrating on getting Korean steel mills on board as business partners. The Korean site will try its best to foster domestic online steel transactions. Meanwhile it will help Korean steel makers to increase their exposure in export markets. Through our site, steel imports will be facilitated at reasonable prices. The introduction of e-commerce into the steel trade should save lead to cost savings of at least 10%, as well as shortening the convoluted value chains which characterize the industry and bringing new clients together. The Korean site will be operated as a vertical steel portal providing not only online transactions but also other value-added services such as logistics, finance, insurance and content.
