ezConnect, a software launched in June and developed by Systek, will be an online CRM (customer relationship management) tool for iSteelAsia.

Systek, an e-business enabler, yesterday announced its partnership with iSteelAsia, a steel exchange vertical portal and a B2B (business-to-business) portal listed on the GEM of the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong.

ezConnect is an Internet-enabled interactive collaboration system allowing multiple users to communicate with various features ranging from real-time chat, voiceover-IP, document sharing and white board functions, highlighting specific parts of a document shared by different users during discussion. It can be scaled vertically with a simple interface change to meet specific client or industry requirements.

ezConnect has been under development for over two years. The amount of investment was not disclosed. Under the agreement, Systek will install customised features for iSteelAsia.

With the use of ezConnect, an individual customer support representative is able to integrate and manage customer communications, including Web inquiries, e-mails, voice mails and faxes from the same inbox. These features enable iSteelAsia.com to communicate with business partners, suppliers and vendors through the Internet on a 24/7 basis.

iSteelAsia.com has over two thousand customers spreading over sixty countries. With a double-digit growth in turnover every season, Systek will leverage on iSteelAsia.com's growing member base and the magnitude of the Asian steel industry, to meet the needs of its user segments.
