Professor David Yoffie from Harvard Business School
[21st November, 2000 - HONG KONG] - Distinguished scholar Professor David B. Yoffie from Harvard Business School, today addressed in a specially-organized luncheon in the topic "e-Commerce Insight for the 21st Century". The luncheon was organized by the Harvard Business School Association of Hong Kong ("HBSA of Hong Kong") and sponsored by iSteelAsia.com Limited ("iSteelAsia.com"; stock code: 8080). He is the Max and Doris Starr Professor of International Business Administration, the Chairman of the Competition and Strategy Department and Chairman of the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School. He also serves on the Board of Directors of Intel Corporation, several multinational conglomerates and the board of the National Bureau of Economic Research. Over the years, Professor Yoffie has lectured and consulted in more than 25 countries with large industrial and service firms as well as governments and international organizations. His current research focuses on the Internet, e-commerce, and competitive strategy. Professor Yoffie has published seven books, including Competing in the Age of Digital Convergence and Competing on Internet Time: Lessons from Netscape and Its Battle with Microsoft, which is named by Business Week and Amazon.com as one of the top 10 business books of 1998. His case studies on business strategy and international management issues have sold more than 1,000,000 copies.
