iSteelAsia.com's Steel E-commerce Seminar in Shenyang Received Encouraging Responses

(Hong Kong, 22 May 2000) The world's first listed steel exchange vertical portal, iSteelAsia.com successfully promoted e-commerce to China's steel industry in a seminar held yesterday in Shenyang which received enthusiastic responses.

The seminar held at the Traders Hotel revealed the key benefits and the potential of e-commerce, which is set to transform the steel industry. One of the key objectives of the seminar was to discuss e-commerce solutions for China's steel industry and to introduce iSteelAsia.com to major steel representatives from north-eastern China. More than 40 people attended the seminar, including representatives from Anshan Iron & Steel Co. (Angang), Benxi Iron & Steel Co. (Bengang), Fushen Iron & Steel Co. (Fugang), Shenyang Iron & Steel Co., Dalian Pujin Steel Plate, Shenyang CMIEC and Shenyang Material Supply Bureau. A speech on e-commerce was also given by Prof. Lu Zhaoxia, the guest of honour from China's North-East University.

The seminar further enhanced iSteelAsia.com's leading position in the e-commerce revolution in China's steel industry. It also demonstrated the advantages of online trading and the services supplied by iSteelAsia.com.

The seminar received enthusiastic responses from attendees, who had requested for full-scale in-house training workshops to familiarize traders with iSteelAsia's online trading system. Further discussions were also held between iSteelAsia and representatives from Bengang, Fugang and Dalian Pujin who have shown keen interest in putting their businesses online through iSteelAsia's trading platform.
